I started my piano tuning career back in 1983 by doing regulating and minor repairs in Pinkham Pianos in Guildford, Surrey (since relocated to Cornwall) before going to college to do the official course. I completed the three year training course at Newark Technical College (now Newark & Sherwood College) in 1987 and had the good fortune to discover that another local piano dealer, ABC Music in Esher, Surrey, were just about to open a new branch in Kew, just 6 miles from where I was living. Apart from building up my private clients, I also did showroom and customer tunings for both branches of ABC Music as well as Pinkhams, so I was lucky to have as much work as I could handle from the moment I set up in business.

Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to tune pianos at Windsor Castle, as well as for a number of professional musicians including Katie Melua, George Benson, Stevie Wonder, world reknown concert pianists Peter Donahoe and Rostal & Schaefer. I also regularly tune for composer and music manager Les Reed.
